Mediterranean courtyard romance
Nothing says ‘timeless romance’ like an elegant, al fresco wedding celebration! This inspiration photo shoot was held in the beautiful courtyards of historic Darlington House in La Jolla, California. Inspired by the venue’s Italian, Moroccan, and Spanish architectural details, the color palette of deep berry red, warm neutrals, and shades of slate blue-gray fit right in.
Elements of wood and brass alluded to the Mediterranean style, which were incorporated throughout the ceremony and reception vignettes. A vintage fireplace mantle draped in fabric and accented with lanterns, candlesticks, and flowers, created a picturesque backdrop for vows. The dining table featured embossed lace chargers beneath each place setting, which were the perfect tie-in to our bride’s dreamy Sarah Seven gown.
The smoky blue goblets along with romantic urns filled with garden roses, dahlias, anemones, and ranunculus provided just the right pops of color. The luxe lounge, featuring crushed velvet seating and an eye-catching metallic gold trunk, served as a cozy spot for our couple to relax. And what’s a wedding day without cake? The ornate, gilded cake was complimented by coupe glasses of edible glitter-dusted berries and champagne. Cheers to happily ever after!
